Tipping Is For The Birds

Best part of the movie. Fuck that waitress. Fuck respecting societal norms before going on to rob a bank and shoot everything up

Tarantino cannily added Mr. Pink to the script, a character who is almost adjacent to the main plot. Mr. Pink redeems the film entirely from mediocrity. And Buscemi deserves all the credit for bringing Mr. Pink to life. I've always wondered why Buscemi didn't do much more stuff with Tarantino. I'm sure there's an answer out there, but to me it'll always feel like a huge opportunity missed

I agree I wich QT would have had other roles for Buscemi. But honestly, I think after Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction QT has been mostly kinda boring except for Inglourious Basterds.

QT had that little bitty waiter role for Buscemi in Pulp Fiction(at Jack Rabbit Slim's.) Noteable --because it was Buscemi -- but a little insulting, I thought.

For Buscemi to get cast, somebody would have to be "un-cast." But who? In what movie?

Jackie Brown..the Foster role? the DeNiro role? Fine but...nope.

Kill Bill...Bill? Michael Madsen? Michael Madsen's strip club boss?

Death Proof...Stuntman Mike? (Ah...NO.)

Inglorious Basterds...one of the Basterds? How about "The Little Man"?

Django? Umm...the Chris Waltz role? Big Daddy?(Don Johnson role -- maybe.) Baghead Number Two?(The Jonah Hill role.)

The Hateful Eight: "The Little Man" again(aka Hangman Oswaldo Mowbray Tim Roth role.) Or how about General Smithers in old man make-up?

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood: How about the director on "Lancer"? Or Charles Manson.

Seems like Steve had a few roles where he played the wise cracking type, and I suspect he didn't want to play the same role for the same director repeatedly, especially this early in his career. From what I can tell, he has been very thoughtful about how he cultivates his craft and walking away from QT on a high note actually helped.
Had he been thought of as a member of the QT troop might have diminished his estimation in the eyes of others.

I don't think birds have the capacity to understand the concept of tipping, let alone the ability to practice it.

Not to mention how little use for money birds generally have..

LMAO
Now that is hilarious
