Party dancing scene... why?

This part made me cringe... why do movies put in these silly scenes?

I bet it was dan aykroyd's idea. he's had dancing scenes like that in other movies too.

It was one of my favorites. The camera adored him.

I really liked that scene, actually. The O'Donnell character interacting with each of those quirky guys differently was good fun. Beat the crap out of the blind guy driving scene, which made me cringe.
