Character changes in Season 6

At the beginning of S6, the removal of Brodie and Kay Howard, and Munch hardly being featured as a major character at all, really did a number on this show for me. Why did they decide to just switch around the characters and then bring back the original cast for the Homicide movie? Did the original actors just want to work on other roles so they left in S6, or what? 😕

Due to consistently low ratings against Nash Bridges on CBS, NBC Entertainment president Warren Littlefield stipulated that the show runners give the spotlight on more attractive characters like Falsone, Ballard, and Sheppard, under a misguided belief that adding more "eye candy" to the series would increase ratings.

Too bad, I still love the show but I like the original cast more than the new characters they brought in.
