Subtitles

Years ago I had this on VHS the subtitles were fine. I recently bought it on dvd and the subtitles for the Spanish parts is missing. The only option available was to turn on English subtitles, and they showed the English that was spoken just fine, but the Spanish shows up in Spanish. Does anybody else have this problem, or did I buy a defective copy? Pissed me off because I love this movie but don't speak Spanish.

Same here. Bought the extended version from Amazon.com and it has the same subtitle issue + it sometimes does not show any subtitles at all in the Spanish conversations.
I owned the Region 2 DVD that had the correct subtitles.

Rip the dvd, download subtitle file and burn a new dvd incl the new subs :)

The people responsible for f ups like this issue should be shot with *beep* and fired from life.
