A question about Sonny's killer.

I just watched A Bronx Tale recently and something that always confuses me in the movie is after Sonny is killed. The question I have is what happens to Sonny's killer after he has killed Sonny? We see the rest of Sonny's crew tackle him and take the gun out of his hand afterwards. But what puzzles me is did Sonny's crew give that kid a beatdown or even kill that kid to avenge Sonny or did he get arrested? And if those three things happened to that kid afterwards, would the revenge for killing Sonny because of him killing that kid's father at the beginning of the movie worth it because of the consequences that would occur afterwards. I guess my question will remain a mystery.

I would assume that they gave him a little bit of a beating but their best bet would have been to lay low and just have him arrested. There were too many witnesses in the joint.

in my opinion the kid is dead.. no way they let him walk away with nothing less

I'm assuming that once that kid killed Sonny, he basically signed his own death warrant. No matter if killing Sonny was to avenge his father for being killed by Sonny. Sonny's crew would've taken care of that kid very seriously and that would've been done through a severe beat down, death, and the disposing of his body(a typical mob killing). Unfortunately, none of that was shown in the movie towards the end.

You dont kill a mob boss in a crowded headquarters and live to tell the tale.

Most likely, they killed him. It was probably very slow too.

Deserttray: Crowd or no crowd, revenge will be served! Take a look at Joe Colombo. When he was shot at the parade on 6/28/71, his crew shot the gunman dead on the spot and there were witnesses all around!

They deff killed him, i am sicilian, I grew up with family members that were in the mob for a long time, they would never, ever let someone walk after killing the boss, that kid knew the minute he killed sonny that he was not leaving that bar alive.
