In an early scene, I remember the mother saying something like, "I'm gonna go check on the baby". So C had a brother or sister? If so, why is he/she never shown or mentioned when C is a teenager later? I understand that a sibling wasn't relevant to the story, but you'd think you'd at least see him/her once or twice.
shareOne could also theorize, that "the baby" may be a neighbour, and the mother is simply acting as a babysitter. They needed money, so it's not impossible.
shareHonestly who cares that's probably the last thing that matters is if we see some phantom sibling or something. If you over think a movie it ruins the experience. Focus on what you actually see in the movie
