First there was West Side Story then there was A Bronx Tale

Both movies are very similar in story and both have a tale of forbidden love that either ends horribly or wins over societies ignorance. West Side Story is such an awesome movie and Bronx Tale is a great coming of age tale. Def more serious and thought provoking than West Side Story but it walks a similar path in regards to the romance.

You guys should see the marathons I did for both of these movies. For West Side Story, I did a marathon called When Society Fails On Love and for A Bronx Tale, I did a marathon called When Love Wins Over Society because West Side Story shows love being ruined by society and Bronx Tale shows it winning with the boy acknowledging at the end that he thinks she's the one.
