We're they really the bad guys?

When Vinnie Taglialucci and Pete Amadesso were chasing Carlito in the end, we're they really the bad guys? Look at it this way. Vinnie's father and brother were both murdered by that piece of **** Kleinfeld. Vinnie thinks Carlito helped Kleinfeld. I remember Carlito saying in the narration that they were just watching him and they weren't sure. When Vinnie brought up Kleinfeld getting killed, Carlito said, "I haven't seen him lately." Vinnie knew he was there. So right there Carlito gave himself away. How did he not recognize Vinnie? Remember when he noticed him at the hospital in the cop's uniform? Carlito was paying attention and noticed Vinnie's face didn't go with the uniform. How could Carlito forget? In the end, they're chasing Carlito for revenge. But rightfully so. No, it wasn't Carlito's fault for what happened to Tony Taglialucci. But they didn't know that. They figured Kleinfeld was ripping Tony off and killed him, brutally mind you, and Carlito helped. In my book, Vinnie and Pete and the other guys were not the bad guys. I think Carlito should've told the truth about being at the hospital and he should've told Vinnie he was the one that took the bullets out of Kleinfeld's gun. They had no proof Carlito was on the boat. Carlito should've told them Kleinfeld was a piece of **** and he got him killed for trying to get him put back in jail.

Don't know if you're familiar with "cinetanter's" channel. But he says the same thing.

That scene always bugged me. He should have been as honest about everything (except being on the boat). Just say, "Saw him tonight and we parted ways...he was selling me out to the DA". Instead he looks at a guy who saw him in the hospital and denies being there.
