The part when Michael Rooker is getting kicked

The part when Michael Rooker is getting kicked over and over by that British guy that's talking about soccer was stupid. It got ridiculous after a while. Talk about overdoing it. And nobody could get kicked that many times in the face and still be conscious. I always found that part stupid.

The only weak part of the movie. Over the top too.

For the most part I think Cliffhanger is a solid action film. But I do think they overdid it with Tucker(Michael Rooker)'s beatdown.

I agree, I was also like "how long you going to wait to get the knife out of your boot dude?"

I wanted to hear him tell the guy something negative about soccer like that soccer is the ambien of sports..... it's lame!!

Well, we can't all be from: "Land of the free" can we? No one to fight if..? ;-D

True, it's gratuitous which is what Renny Harlin likes, but it does have one of the greatest pay offs in action movie history ie when Tucker's dangling on the edge and about to be kicked off it by the limey, so he knives the guy's leg, takes his shotgun off him while he's stunned, positions it in place, then hits him with the one liner "Season's Over, a$$hole!!" before literally blowing him off the cliff and seeing him fly through the air like Superman over Tucker and then headfirst down.

Then to top it off, travers see's him flying down the mountain and says "I said quietly" which is hilarious.

And you can deal with me; Doug Masters!

You took my comeback line away. "I said quietly."

Great scene.

Haha, such a funny line!

It's a brutal scene, but the pay off makes it worthwhile and that line from travers just cements it.

"Season's over a$$hole", LOL

"I really wish Gia and Claire had became Tanner" - Honeybeefine

I agree, it would have been better if it was shorter. The effect wears off somewhat after a while and it just got gratuitous.

No British person would ever use the word "soccer"!

The shotgun blast and death made the scene pretty funny though.
