Totally agree maniuis and Faena . This movie has it all - memorable comedic all star cast , solid yet very unique storyline , and a great soundtrack to boot . What can one ask more of from a comedic blast from the past based on the characters from the early best years of Saturday Night Live lol . Thanks maniuis for your subject post .
shareI agree as well. Of all the films that are based on old SNL sketches, this is the best one I can think of. Frankly most of the films of that genre have been pretty bad. In fact, films featuring former SNL cast memebers have generally been failures. The exception being a few Adam Sandler and Will Ferrel movies.
Anyhow, "Coneheads" works because of some imaginative and funny screen writing which actually expands and improves on the original sketch. A great cast, filled with all kinds of ex-SNL cast members really helps the film as well. The film had a damn good Soundtrack.
What can you say about DS, he's the ultimate smarmy Yes-man.
