The movie is inaccurate yes, but...

Jason Scott Lee's portrayal of Lee, combined with a magnificent score and great storytelling make the viewer well aware of how remarkable a man Lee really was.

"If you gon come in on this thang with me you got to be prepared to go all the way."

I actually didn't think his Bruce Lee was all that great. It kind of looked over exaggerated at times, mostly the voice.

And to think he was up for the part Lui Kang in Mortal Kombat.

No doubt this movie is interesting to watch and a nice overly dramatized homage to the late action hero, Bruce Lee, but it has also become the shining example of how many liberties Hollywood takes with bio-pics. Whenever you see "based on" you can count on the fact that a bunch of studio heads, and a writing team, embellished and fabricated a lot of incidences.

Rather than "based on" they should really say, "loosely influenced by" but then that wouldn't sell to the public. In other words, whenever you see "based on" you should not believe a lot of the statements in the movie.

What's even more disturbing is that Lee's widow and owner of Bruce Lee trademarks, Linda Lee Cadwell, allowed such embellishment; especially since the movie borrowed from the very book she wrote entitled, BRUCE LEE - THE MAN ONLY I KNEW.

Then again, some historians believe there were embellishments in Lee Cadwell's book (such as the historic fight between Bruce Lee and Wong Jack Man which many claim was over exaggerated).

This begs the question as to how long Hollywood as exaggerated real-life facts, and how many people base their beliefs on them?

yup still a wonderful tribute movie to Bruce and very entertaining, and credit Lauren Holly who also does a great role of Bruce's loyal girlfriend and wife.

Holly's portrayal of Linda Lee should get a "wife of the year" award or something. Supportive, sexy, passionate, patient... this has me wanting to read her book.
