Bad Luck Comes In Three For Don Pedro and Claudio

You know the old expression about bad luck coming in threes? Well, Don Pedro and Claudio might have started that theory.

After Hero's "death" first they encounter Leonato and Antonio, wracked with grief and anger over what had happened. It's fair to say that the meeting does not go well - accusations and threats fly.

After those two leave, their good friend Benedick comes up, calls Claudio a villian, says he has to discontinue the Prince's company, and challenges Claudio to a duel before riding off.

Still reeling from that encounter they see Conrade and Borachio in custody, with the whole company coming towards them. I wonder if they knew that the news was only going to be getting worse.

The above is just my opinion. If we disagree, it only means that you are wrong.

It's a myth, though no doubt the authors intended a trinary structure. Beginning, middle and end.
