Kawajiri's best film!
I've been a fan of Kawajiri since Cyber City Oedo 808 and Neo Tokyo. Ninja Scroll is hands down his best action film. Bloodlust was good and Highlander was a great return to form, but Ninja Scroll is the definitive Kawajiri film. Over the top violence, unnecessary sex scenes, the only other film that compares is Kawajiri's other masterpiece Wicked City.
