Why was the entire Sandlot gang banned from the swimming pool for what Squints did?
When Squints pulled that stunt on Wendy by forcing her to kiss him, we're told by the narrator (adult Scotty) that they were subsequently banned from that pool. But nobody know that Squints was playing that stunt. They genuinely thought that he almost drowned just like Wendy. So why were they being punished for what Squints did and did alone? Was it simply a case of "guilt by association"?
