The ending: Weren't there meant to be captions?

I saw this on DVD almost two decades ago and I'm certain there were captions at the end of the movie depicting what happened after Goeth was executed and the factory closed, and all the names of the Jews and their descendants who laid stones on Schindler's grave.

It's just that seeing it just now on Netflix UK, there were none. What happened? And I did have subtitles on at the time.

My dad's DVD copy does have that caption saying what happened. So, it must be just the one you bought.

Sorry I wasn't clear, but yes, my DVD back then had captions, Netflix didn't. That's how I knew they were missing from the latter.

Ugh! Somehow that doesn't surprise me. I don't use Netflix anymore. Frankly they don't even have a lot of the shows I want to watch. It's why I switched to Hulu.

I can’t attest to Netflix UK but yes there are supposed to be captions. The DVD, Blu Ray and 4K all have captions.

This seems to have been a problem on Netflix for a while: https://www.reddit.com/r/netflix/comments/hwhk8o/missing_end_text_from_schindlers_list/
