Cody's $12,000

Cody said she'd been wiring money to Agua Dulce for 4 years right? And it was $12,000 without the interest meaning she was sending about $3,000 a year. Exactly where did she get all that money from considering the times they were in?

obviously she was a really good whore. I'm just sayin

Either that or she played to win in cards...or maybe both.

I was watching this again last night and it was actually 6 years so it was $2000 a year...still very good considering (at least my brother says, I don't know if it's true) that most men were lucky to make about a dollar a month in those days.

I think all the money the girls made was wired directly, and they lived on what Cody made gambling and possibly running the tavern.

I'm quite a lovely person - apart from my terrible taste in pie.

Your brother is a bit off the mark. In 1880 a cowboy on a trail drive could expect to make $30 a month. That was considered pretty good wages for an uneducated laborer. Also considering that their food was free and they had no other expenses, once they came in from a three month drive, the world was their oyster. On top of that, if they were good/lucky at cards, they could easily make more than a months wages in one evening.
