Another DVD coming?

I was glad to see this one finally hit DVD. I bought the VHS years ago pre-viewed from a video store and wanted to replace it, but...
The VHS I own is the extended version at 104 minutes. The (current?) DVD says extended cut and it is only 100 minutes.
Is this another case of "Thanks for buying the last DVD. Now buy the latest version." version?

Ehhh... maybem, but I doubt it. Special Editions are done for films that have exceptional earning potential.

Movieplex has a widescreen special edition.
