Why is Keanu Reeves uncredited in this movie?

Just wondering why he didnt want to have his name included in the credits?

Because the movie sucks.

Yeah, you're right it's definitely not in the same league as "Speed", "Chain Reaction" or "The Replacements". Now those are some real screen gems. Give me a break.

Because Alex Winter was his friend and he was doing it more for fun than anything else.

I know I Know! It's because his managment thought his association with this film would be damaging to his career. They didn't want him to do the film at all. But he was really keen on doing it,so he did it but remained uncredited : D

Keanu didn't even want to do Bill And Ted 2. He thought it would typecast his career. The association with his Bill and Ted Co-star, was what made it uncredited especially so. He didn't want it to be exploited. He wanted people to take him seriously as an actor at the time...

I'm not sure if this is the case with Keanu or not, but if you do a movie for free and you are part of the Screen Actors Guild you are not allowed to take credit for that appearance...

Chris Pine has one of the more important roles in Stretch (2014) but as he did the movie as a favor to his friend (the director) he remains uncredited even though he has a bigger role than most of the people listed on the poster

So it's possible that Keanu did the movie as a favor to his Bill And Ted-collegaue Alex Winters and did it for free and that's why he's not listed

Or he wanted to see if anyone would be able to spot him because he's often accused of not being able to act so if he was able to remain unspotted that would prove critics wrong
