One of the best action movies of the 90s

This film is great and I just can't see why it's so underrated in the USA. In Europe both the critics and the audience loved it! The plot, the characters, the action and sex scenes are both very good even the directing and the cinematography. Basinger and Baldwin are so hot together in this much more than McQueen and McGraw were in the original. It's a great remake, a smart variation for the Bonnie and Clyde-thing and definitely one of the best action movies of the 90s!

My wife and I were extra's for 5 days during the shooting at the dog racing park. Some of the scene's there were quite intense and the pyro techs were great when they blew up the tanker truck. We were told to be suprised when the tanker exploded and believe me you didn't have to act,it really startled you and then a big blast of hot wind hit your face after the truck exploded! It blew a fireball 100 ft. into the air. We thought the film was a really good remake also. We also thought the actors and supporting actors did a great job also. Hey, there was only one Steve McQueen as far as cool goes, but Kim and Alec didn't do bad and Michael Madsen and Jennifer Tilley complimented each other pretty well also.

I didn't expect much when I screened this film back in '94. But by the time it was over, I was sitting on the edge of my seat and had smoked almost a full pack. Man, that movie was intense, and that was the rated version.

It certainly holds up very well and is overlooked. The action is well staged, the violence brutal and unflinching, the sex is hot and the performances are great!

Just throwing in here - I agree - thought the film was oustanding. A fun ride - just great entertainment - good jobs by all involved.

I too think its a great damn movie, maybe the problem is that too many people compare it to the original. I havent seen the original but i like this movie a lot, one of Baldwin and Madsens best roles definately
