Of course they should, the original had so many big African names like Jeremy Irons, Matthew Broderick, and Jonathan Taylor Thomas. 

Yeah this time honor the Broadway show's tradition too! And there's plenty of stars who are perfect like Lupita N'yongo , John Boyega, Idris Elba, Chadwick Boseman and more!

Jon Favereau will do a great job. He did great with source material in Iron Man. They couldn't have picked a better director.

I personally don't mind American casting. They aren't using French cast members for the 2017 remake of Beauty and the Beast.
