Since MikeHunt12345 is into bashing other people's favorite Disney movies

How about we bash one of HIS favorites instead?

For example, this film is a ripoff of Hamlet and an old cartoon of "Kimba the White Lion" (showing that Disney is not as creative as they pretend they are), you've got Simba falling in love with and having sex with his half-sister (eww, incest), his daddy kept a harem of wives, Mufasa was a hypocrite in heating some animals in his kingdom, but letting others live, and yet they still bow to their lord and master, the "Circle of Life" song was written by that gross, disgusting Elton John, Timon and Pumba were supposed to be Disney's first animated gay couple, but because it was the 90s, they had to keep mum about it, and you've got a villain who not only committed fratricide, but he attempted to murder a small child and felt no remorse whatsoever. Not to mention it's obvious when Scar took over Pride Rock, he claimed Sarabi as his own, no doubt raped her many times, and probably even abused her the lion way behind the scenes, along with Mufasa's other harem of lionesses when they weren't tired out from over-hunting. Oh yeah, and due to lion tradition, Scar would have been obligated to murder any other brothers and sisters Simba had, regardless of whether they were innocent cubs or not.

So how does it feel, Mike? To have someone bash and shit all over your favorite Disney film and bring out every flaw in it, including ones that most people don't care about or want to talk about? Tell us Mike, can you take it as much as you dish it out?

Damn I don't know the story behind this but what happened and where?

He made the mistake of attacking my favorite Disney film using every stupid, idiotic, shallow criticism in the book, showing he doesn't understand the story at all, and thinks he's the smartest one in the room for doing so. About time he got a taste of his own medicine.

reply

Yeah I didn't read the first post in full from the OP on that one. Beauty and the Beast is up there as one of the greatest fairytales ever put on film.

reply

It certainly was better than the original version. The original tale was boring and sounded like a watered-down version of Cinderella and Cupid and Psyche, done the French way. There was no chemistry at all between Beauty and the Beast in that iteration. I mean, all he does is invite her to dinner every night and ask her to marry him. No interaction at all during the day. Then, when she's away with her selfish sisters, she just suddenly realizes she loves him? And then she goes running back to the castle, where he's dying, and she declares her love? Where's the logic in that?

reply

Lol wtf? This is the funniest thing I've ever seen. Yes, I can handle people pointing out flaws in movies I like, which you clearly can't. You probably shouldn't be on this website if you can't handle it, and maybe you should consider getting therapy if you view it as a personal attack against everyone who likes the movie, and feel the desire for revenge.

reply

Funny, I was going to say the same thing about you.

And by the way, you have yet to defend your beloved film on any of the points I covered. Are you too much of a coward to stand up for it, or are you too stupid?

reply

PURE CLASS.

How is it a ripoff of Hamlet? I know it was inspired by it, but Shakespeare's works are public domain, and most animated Disney movies were adapted from or inspired by something, including Beauty and the Beast.

I don't know anything about Kimba the White Lion, so I can't really comment on that. But there's no evidence that Disney even knew it existed.

Where's your evidence that Nala is Simba's half-sister, or that Mufasa had a "harem of wives"?

How was Mufasa a hypocrite? He's a lion, he has to eat meat to survive.

I do agree it's a bit strange that the prey animals attended the ceremony. They probably understood that the lions need to eat meat to survive, and respected them for being respectful about it. But it's a bit strange that they weren't scared they'd eat them after the ceremony, and didn't want to stay as far away from them as possible. Maybe there's a reason, but if there is, it should've been addressed. This is the only actual flaw you've pointed out. You see, I can acknowledge that good movies can have flaws, and that there's nothing wrong with pointing them out.

How is Elton John gross?

I am very glad Timon and Pumba weren't a gay couple, not because I'm a homophobe, because a warthog and a meerkat as a couple makes no sense.

How is it a flaw that Scar did evil things? It would be a flaw if he was portrayed as evil but did nothing wrong.

reply

Timon and Pumba are hetero life partners just like Bert and Ernie.🤣

reply

Officially, they're just best friends, but I heard some very creepy stuff about them when I was in high school.

"The Lion King" is basically "Hamlet" with animals. It was also a ripoff of an old cartoon from the 1970s called "Kimba the White Lion," and Disney took full advantage of the copyrights being expired.

First off, all the well-off male lions in real life have what is called, a Pride, which consists of several lionesses, and the cubs they produce with him. Second, did you not see that dogpile of sleeping lionesses Simba was climbing over early that morning in one scene? They all belong to Mufasa. Sarabi just happened to be his favorite, and probably the first lioness he mated. The writers instilled the whole "First Wife" idea with her, which is a human custom in cultures where the king has a harem, but the First Wife is an actual royal princess (and official Queen) whose kids are his official heirs, while the rest are just concubines and "royal children" who will not inherit anything if the king dies.

Second, where do you think Nala came from? Her mom was part of that harem of lionesses, and guess who the only male lion was in the entire kingdom? Mufasa. Which means, she is Simba's half-sister.

I was never a fan of Elton John. If the gay community ever would crown someone as their Queen, it would be him.

It's not the flaws in Scar's character I'm talking about. It's the fact that since you like talking about creepy stuff going on behind the scenes in Disney kid's films, I brought about some creepy shit Scar probably did off-camera that couldn't be shown to family audiences, which would have been many. A child wouldn't recognize it, but an adult can definitely see the "abused wife" look in Sarabi's body language.

What creeps me out is that some people actually like that guy!

reply

Why is it a problem that The Lion King is based on previous public domain work, but not Beauty and the Beast?

I don't know much about real lions, or monarchy, but I don't think the movie was supposed to be a very realistic portrayal.

The difference between Scar and Beast is Scar was actually always portrayed as pure evil.

I don't think anyone thinks Scar is a good person, I think they just think he's a well written character.

reply

You're not doing a very good job defending this movie. Obviously it's not your favorite Disney film, or you would be fighting harder. A pity you didn't say "Hercules" was your fave Disney movie. I have enough napalm for that film to keep that board burning for a few millennia.

reply

I can't think of what else to say, and I also don't treat movies I like like my children, I don't view it as a personal attack whenever people point out flaws in them.

reply

I'm shocked. Someone actually bred with you?

reply

No, I don't actually have children, I just meant I don't treat movies like I would treat my children if I had any.

reply

Do you give up?

reply

Depends on the situation.

reply

Sounds like a concession to me.

reply

Wait, I thought you were asking me if I ever give up in general. Are you asking me if I give up in this situation? Well I will reply to you if you reply to me, unless there isn't anything I can add.

reply

This is so petty. Haven't you heard of being the bigger person?

If this was a joke or a friendly jibe that would be one thing, this is just embarrassing.

reply

Wow! Another user here hurt your feelings so you created this because you got triggered. Calm down, Cupcake. It's just a movie.
