Pretty overrated

This film was fucking outSTANDING the first time i saw it, but it's never reached that same magic since. I've watched it so many times and I just cant come even halfway close to loving it like i did when i first saw it. it was revolutionary but now i think the film is way too sloppy, incoherent, and ridiculous, and that it needs some serious trimming. a lot of it feels very film school-esque, like you gave a college film school student a few million dollars to make a movie. i know QT never even went to college, and i know this film inspired so much of the modern college movie aesthetic, but maybe that's partly why i find it overrated. it inspired a formula that has since churned out movies that are much better; i'd much rather watch Lucky Number Slevin, Bound, Go, and Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels because they feel much more focused. QT's own Jackie Brown is a fucking masterpiece and significantly better than Pulp Fiction.
