Question about his use of bombs and explosives.

Is it in any way, shape, or form even remotely plausible (yes, it is a fictional action movie, but that's besides point) that the explosive devices Sly's character uses would work in the ways that they do, and that they would ONLY target and cause damage to the person they are aimed at, and would NOT cause ANY other damage to the area nearby the target and not to harm anyone innocent either?

I have read one negative review on IMDb on this movie that complained that Stallone's character with his tactics was essentially committing acts of domestic terrorism and that it endorses such tactics in real life. Obviously taking the movie way too seriously, but it could be argued that he simply was a very high class explosives expert, as exaggerated as it may be, and that he mostly operated in ways to prevent innocents from being harmed or killed.

But the main point is, is that even remotely possible? Or is this from the realm of fantasy, more or less? Cheers.

It seemed ludicrous to me that he would assassinate people with explosives, the odds of injuring and killing bystanders are far too high.

If explosives were one tool in his arsenal that might make sense, he could then use sniper rifles and silenced pistols alongside them, but they went for the usual ‘he’s the best there is’ in a new niche field - explosives, and it doesn’t really work for a good guy. Bad guys are normally bombers because they don’t give a shit about innocent lives.

A dumb film that could have worked with good direction, but it fails on every level, except one - James Woods, who is the only reason to watch this turd. He’s amazing.
