Question about Six Forgotten Warriors

Hey everyone. HUGE HUGE HUGE fan of this show to this day. My question is why the "Six Forgotten Warriors" sage has such a bad reputation? I have always loved this as it seemed very complex for a children's show and the story kept going deeper and deeper.

Just wanted to get everyone's opinion as i saw it ranked so low. It's ok if you don;t like it, juts curious as to why. Thanks!

One of the reasons I don't enjoy it is for the bad choices in characters. They had all of the Marvel universe to pick from, literally all of it, since we managed to get dark and gritty characters like Daredevil and Punisher into this show with ease.
They could have picked ANYONE for this story. Bucky, Namor, the original Human Torch (Jim Hammond), his sidekick Toro, Antman, Wasp, Thor, or even some of the old X-Men characters like Beast (they could say it was their chemicals which made him blue and furry), or Ghost Rider, or the Hulk, or even Wolverine.
And who did they pick? A bunch of nobodies, some of whom were made up purely for the show. The characters they DID pick barely have enough information to justify a page on the official Marvel wiki.
For me, that felt like a slap in the face. This massive universe of characters, with over 40 years (at the time) of stories to tell and pick from, and who did they choose to focus on? Nobody important or memorable.
