I traumatized my gf with Mary Jane clone evaporating

So one day I was at my girlfriend's house and we were flipping through channels looking for something to watch. I saw that Spiderman was on Disney XD and said "Oh, this is the Spiderman cartoon I used to watch as a kid. Its an awesome show, lets watch it!"

She enthusiastically agreed.

It was the second part of the Return of Hydro Man, right around when Warren was explaining that they were in fact clones. As Mary Jane's clone emotionally tells Peter she loves him and begins to die, my girlfriend stares at me and says

"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU? WHY ARE YOU SHOWING ME THIS DEPRESSING S+@#!?"

Not genuinely mad, but it was pretty funny. Its fun to yell out "MARRYYY JANNEEE" every now and then to see her annoyed reaction.
