Sandman

I don't understand something. How come Sandman wasn't in the show but Electro was? According to what I read online, at that time during the 1990's, James Cameron was planning to do a live action film on Spider-Man. His idea was to have Electro and Sandman as the villains. For some weird reason, this is why Sandman wasn't created on the show. However, at the very end of the season, Electro was introduced. So how come it was ok to have Electro but not Sandman in the cartoon? Anyone know?

The James Cameron proposed film is exactly the reason for this. Hydro-man was supposed to be Sandman's replacement. However the Electro in this show wasn't even the Electro from the comics and was just a forced way to put him into the show. When the Cameron movie didn't go through they wanted to somehow use Electro before the show ended, thus making him Red Skull's son and forcing him as an ultimate weapon.

Sick of threads "Megan Fox should play this!"

They might have added him had they continued the series.
