Does anyone else think Spider wars may have inspired Doctor Who season 4

There is a story in Doctor Who season 4 of the new series called Journey's End that is quite like Spider Wars IMO.

Its about the Daleks and Davros (the doctor's archenemies) who create a superweapon called the reality bomb that can destroy every single universe. They actually set it off, but someone from an alternate universe Rose that manages to travel back to our universe to warn the main hero and multiple versions of the main hero have to work together to stop the reality bomb and save every universe.

Its quite like Spider Wars as you can see. In both cases we have a villain try and destroy every universe, someone who who comes from a universe in the future who travels back before their universe is destroyed and multiple versions of the hero's, though in the Doctors case they are created rather than alternate copies like Spidermans.

Also in Spiderman had they got another series the next episode would have seen the Wall crawler travel to Victorian England where he would have fought an old enemy who fell through a portal two years ago into another universe Carnage.

The next episode of Doctor Who see's the Doctor travel to Victorian England where he meets an old enemy that two years earlier fell through a portal into another universe the Cybermen.

RTD the writer of those episodes is a big comic book geek. He even named another Who character Jack Harkness after Agatha Harkness. Its possible he might have been inspired by Spiderman.

Anyone else think this.
