Finished season 6 and thoughts

The Norse trilogy was okay, Xena as a Valkrie was weird though.

Legacy and Abyss were boring to me.

Friend in Need, well I didn't hate it as much as everyone seemed to and I do love the tragedy of Gabrielle having to move on without Xena (cue either Celine Dion's My heart will go on or Avril Lavigne's When you're gone) but some parts were contrived (Xena accidentally kills 40,000 people they should have stripped that down to 400)

Either way the last good season was season 3.

I enjoyed the dark places it took the show but it still had a lot of comedy, I loved the Dahak storyline and the Rift subplot. A lot of my favorite episodes were in this season: Been there, Done That, The Debt, Quill is Mightier than the sword, Maternal Instincts,Bitter Suite, One against an army, Forget me Not, Fins Femms and Gems, Sacrifice

I liked Varia well enough, Eve got on my nerves with the Eli crap but she was alright sometimes. I liked her in Path of Vengence and You are there. Virgil is nice beefcake but not much else in terms of personality. I also had a hard time believing Ted Raimi genes would produce someone that hot,even if Virgil is half Lucy Lawless (Meg) genes



I flip flop back and forth if I like Gabrielle becoming Xena's successor or not. I liked the bitter sweetness of Gabrielle being the warrior she wanted to be since episode 1 but now without Xena, but I also feel like season 6 and really season 5 missed Gabrielle's best qualities. Her empathy, willingness to communicate, her gentleness all her best qualties were de emphasized so she could be Xena 2
