Sony Had No Faith In Bad Boys, Claims Michael Bay

According to Michael Bay, Sony Pictures had no faith in Bad Boys because they believed a film with two black leads wouldn’t sell overseas.

Which was pretty silly considering both Lawrence and Smith were two television stars at the height of their popularity at the time. Doubly ironic is that this film was the first steppingstone that helped Will Smith go on to be one of the most bankable movie stars in the industry
