Just realized something

"spoilers ahead"

Did Joe Pesci foreshadowed his own demise in the movie, when he threatened that corrupt banker by "cracking his head open?"

reply

I think he foreshadowed his own demise for fucking around with another man's wife which was frowned upon

reply

I immediately thought of that one quote from "Click".

"You don't mess with another man's wife!" ๐Ÿ˜„

reply

But I think it was a series of factors:

1) Stealing from his bosses.

2) Bringing too much heat on everyone.

3) Carrying out unauthorized hits.

4) Gunning down the house of a police officer.

AND fucking De Niro's wife. But correct me if I'm wrong. De Niro wasn't a made guy. So according to mob laws, his wife was fair game. To my understanding! A "made guy" could mess around with any woman he wants, as long as it wasn't the spouse of another "made guy".

Yeah but Sam was โ€˜the golden Jewโ€™ and they didnโ€™t want crazy Nicky fucking with him too.

He foreshadowed his demise when he attended that baseball game.

I don't remember that scene.

I appreciate the link you shared. But it's apparently not available in my country, due to "copyright grounds". A quick search yielded no results either.

But I think I vaguely remember the scene you're typing about.

reply

Just like the real person he was based on (Tony Spilotro), Nicky Santoro did just about everything he possibly could to hasten his own demise.

reply

Just read that the guy who defended him in court became the mayor of Las Vegas.

Go figure, right!? ๐Ÿ˜
