Up until I saw this film, I had no idea that hippos were as dangerous as they are. Marlon Perkins never covered the viciousness of them. Disney's nature films neglected to inform. Hell, there was a Christmas song about a hippo.
I initially called b.s., thinking crocs would've been a better attacker, but more recent nature docs have enlightened me on the dangers of the "water horse"...remember when Granny "whitewashed" the portions on a hippo, thinking it was a hog on the Beverly Hillbillies?
