Depp in costumes

Some of you have commented on how J.D.'s " character " seemed so much more comfortable hiding behind the mask of Don Juan as opposed to telling the truth during the hearing. The irony I find is that Depp in general, is more comfortable playing roles wearing lavish costumes. He just is, as most of us know. So when he, in real life,must go on talk shows to pimp out his latest film, he is very uncomfortable being Johnny Depp(exposed and naked for all to see). JMO so let's not get angry with that in mind.
It is kind of like art imitating life. He could realistically align himself with the story and insert himself into the various roles effortlessly in this film. It made him feel comfortable having that imaginary alias in which most people have no clue. He prides himself in bringing fantasy to the big screen and he does that in an exemplary fashion.

I found him to be very vulnerable and child-like when answering truthfully about his life to the hearing table. It was very sad.
