So much better than the horrible 5th one!

At least they got the house right this time instead of using a damn 3 story mansion!

No I favor H6 over H5 because it had better killings and it wasn't all that boring and the whole cult thing was kinda cool but it didn't really fit Micheal Myers that well. The whole film kinda felt like a Hellraiser movie than a Halloween movie!

I liked both 5 and 6, but I tend to favor six the most, because I think the cult aspect was very interesting (as was the Thorn storyline, which I know seems to put most people off, but I liked it). Also, 5 has some pretty annoying characters, while 6 has likeable ones for the most part; 6 is much darker than 5 as well (especially in its P-cut form, which I feel is one of the darkest entries in the franchise; its bleak, nihilistic and heavy on the atmosphere). 5 does have its weak points, but it maintains a really good Gothic style atmosphere, a good opening sequence, Danielle Harris and Pleasence are fun to watch, and the cliffhanger in the end is very creepy.

Both have weak points and strong points, but I think both are fairly underrated.

Agreed, me too. 

They were both awful films that lead to the death of the the whole Halloween franchise but if I had to chose which one I liked better I would have to go with 5 for two reasons: 1) I like the 80's more then I do the 90's and 2) Danielle Harris.

I like H5 more than most people, but ^^^^ this.

I would peg H6 as the better film as well, though I don't rate either particularly highly. (Honestly, I can't rank 'em higher than guilty pleasures due to novelty) It's got more likable characters generally speaking, has more palpable atmosphere, and more creativity to it for better or for worse which I at least can commend the attempt at.

I like the 5th one better just for the characters. Maybe I'm alone in this, but I looooove Tina!

It's better than than awful Halloween 5...but I'm not sure by how much.

Both 5 and 6 had good and bad parts. For me, I'd pick 5, simply because of Danielle Harris and more of Loomis. On the other hand, part 6 had some great scary, intense moments in it. I didn't like the Thorn storyline, at all. As a stand alone movie, the storyline works for me, just not as a Michael Myers movie.
