what is the name of the song at the end credits? The one that is played just before vision's of a sunset?
shareIt's called "Cole's Song", and is sung by Julian Lennon. You might recognize the melody as being part of "An American Symphony", the symphony that was being written by Mr. Holland throughout the film (his Opus...other than the other one referred to by Governor Gertrude Lang, one of his former students, during the assembly at the end of the film) before the orchestra perfoms it. Julian Lennon and Justin Clayton wrote the lyrics for "Cole's Song", and Michael Kamen wrote the music. Mr. Kamen wrote some wonderful music for several films, including this one. He also wrote some songs with Bryan Adams. Unfortunately, he died in London on November 18, 2003 of a heart attack.
