sluggr, if you believe you have ebola you are not supposed to be around people so you do not cough blood hemmorhaging from your lungs on them or lose bodily functions in the bus which cleaning would risk contracting the virus. it is strictly to protect others. Same thing with the plague as you can only get the disease from infected tissue such as blood or pus from buboes.
