One major error (spoiler)

While I feel most of the movie is plausible, the problem I have with the ending is that all communications were on the primary National Guard frequency. You'd think a 'secret' mission would be on scramble or at least a frequency that isn't monitored by every military unit! Also if they were ordered to ignore and make no contact wouldn't it just be easier to turn the radio off or go to a secondary?

I may be wrong on it being Guard, but I thought that's what I heard. But still appears to be a common channel.

You might have a point, but I don't know how you think the rest of the movie is plausible... I find more of a mistake the fact the Rene Russo would be interested in Hoffman... yeah, hell...

Great comment!

Doesn't this movie also have one of those flashy "how it spreads" animated maps, another disaster film cliche, where things move just WAY too fast? In 8 hours...in 24 hours...

In this case, it was intentionally exaggerated by General McClintock and/or his people to convince the present to sign off on Operation Clean Sweep.

I guess they didnt have time to give a scrambled frequency to each side. But they did authenticate.

It is happening right now. Our medical procedures and infrastructure is ripe for this kind of attack and make no mistake.. this is a terrorist attack.

OHHH GOOOD FOR YOU!!

I'm surprised they haven't already done it. I mean beheadings are so troublesome! Course they do get a lot of attention. So be on the lookout in the near future. Trust me they are coming here....U.S.A.
