Had to get my copy from England, worth the trouble too! Have to wonder why the movie Guru's released sales in Australia and Germany, but not the USA?

I havent seen the original. But i have hard to belive its even close to this fantastic film. If i would agree i would rank it as the best movie ever next to Dawn of the dead.

shareThe '95 version of Sahara would've made a good companion piece to the original when the '43 version was released on DVD.
I like both versions, myself.
Sahara (1995) w/James Belushi doesn't appear on the listings at this link. Does anyone know of any source for this DVD? I saw it listed once at the UK Amazon website and kick myself now for not ordering it then.

shareThis movie is available on Ebay from time to time, I've tried to get several copies but end up outbid on each one. Last one I bid $50 for it + shipping.
There is a dvd, but it is so incredibly rare you wouldn't believe it...
I've been looking for this movie ever since I first saw it on HBO!
I've searched for it on VHS and DVD and have not found it or found it only on PAL.
I then scoured the Torrent sites and kept finding Sahara (2005) with Matthew McConaghey mis-labeled as Sahara 1995.
I have finally found an accurate source for this movie (download only) at: http://www.svcdplaza.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=6256. It is a VHS Rip, but looks pretty decent when played back on DVD-R on a 30 inch TV Screen.
Until the DVD is released, I'm happy that I finally have a playable copy.
One note, eMule must be used to download it and it took about two days to complete the download.
I think i saw it standing on a Swedish DVD in a Videostore in Sweden for about 11 years ago. So i think it was somewhat realesed on DVD, but this one only for ranting i assume. Its a shame a great movie like this could be so rare.

I have it on vhs and used to watch it when I was a kid. But the vhs recorder broke and I haven't watched it for so long. But today I am getting a new one and I cannot wait!

I have already converted it to DVD myself for about a year ago.
From a copy from my recorded Tape from 1997, from TV. It feels realy safe.
I even did my personal shorter version of the movie last week.
With a Recordable DVD - player all one need is a Scart - cable.
And a blank DVD ofcourse. Wich was what i used.

Hope this helps anyone else looking for a dvd copy of this film. The video quality is fair same as the video tape version but the sound is great.

I found a 1080p rip of it online, it looks really nice. I used a program called Graboid (a pay service) and I couldn't be happier. I (like many) would totally pay for a nice Blu Ray of it, but I just accidentally located it, and couldn't believe what I had found.
