Family reunion...

I don't know if I missed something but Dick was supposed to be known as Richard to his "aunt" and yet once at the reunion, his "cousin" kept addressing him as Dick. At first I thought it was a mistake but he did it numerous times.

FYI, this isn't a mistake or contradiction. Elderly relatives sometimes call younger relations by their full name rather than their nicknames.

They're just being a bit more formal. In this episode, this formality is further explained by the fact that the aunt and "Richard" had been estranged for years and years.

We all called my friend Bill, er, "Bill" (duh), and his sisters still called him "Billy". But when his grandmother visited from out of state she always addressed him as "William".
