I think Jane Curtain makes the whole show work because even though she's supposed to be this dignified professor, in some ways she's as nutty as the Solomon family.

This positively infantile preoccupation with bosoms!Terry-Thomas about US 1963.Hasnt changed much!

Agreed! I don't know how she wasn't nominated for any Emmys for this role! She was fantastic.

I agree, she was great! She was able to play the 'straight man' to Lithgow in a way that was equally hilarious. That's true comedic talent.

She is surely a genius. Everyone on the show is excellent
