If Chip wanted to be a good friend for Steven he should've found a way to inspire Hal to give Steven back his job.
I wish Chip would've admitted to Hal that he secretly filmed Steven & Robin's conversation of Hal and put it in the officer for everyone to see, I also wish Chip would've told Hal he would like for him to rehire Steven back and that he didn't do a good job firing him.
