Who Should Have Shot-Major Ending Spoiler
The person who shot and killed Johnson should have been the slave owner who cried because of Indigo's death. My reasoning is that he was teary eyed when his wife called him pathetic so the writers could have had him realize how wrong he was toward his wife and how despicable Johnson was, so he gets there in time to kill Johnson.
