Is it possible? They seem to love Carpenter and putting out quality releases of his films. I think it would be great if they could get a Carpenter/Russell commentary. I realize it's a paramount title and they don't seem to licence titles but I can still dream.
shareI mean they were able to get every single Halloween film into one package so its possible they could work out something with Paramount. But it would have to be worth it. Scream Factory has to decide if its worth throwing money at Paramount for a not too popular film or should they just pass on it. Also if they do put the money into bringing their version of course Scream Factory does a amazing job with their special features so will there be enough footage and behind the scenes things for Escape from L.A that warrents a Scream Factory seal. They will have to do something that makes their version better than the traditional blu ray release of L.A. So all of that has to be up to Scream Factory. I am sure they can work out a deal with Paramount because if Paramount can earn money for not doing anything but provide things then I am sure they will say screw it go ahead and do it. But they will probably ask for good amount that will have to be up to Scream Factory to decide if they can provide enough interesting features that will resell the film.
Escape from L.A is already out on blu ray and DVD and I assume most Escape from fans already own it so Scream Factory is not going to want to release a Blu Ray that doesn't have anything new to offer.
I'd buy that for a dollar.

Possible but doubtful. Have Scream Factory put out anything from Paramount? Most of their titles are MGM or Universal.
