I've also wondered why on earth Frost turned so quickly.
I think the little brother character should've been among the first to die. I'm sorry, but he was beyond useless.
||I think the sequel should have Seth, guilty about Ritchie's death, having used his money to find, then fund vampire hunters. He's bought into or founded some business that's set up to run itself, which allows Seth way too much free time...so he's become a drunken waste, unable to let go of the past.
Kate, who secretly followed Seth into El Rey because she knows she can't go home, has had to grow--and toughen--up very quickly. Haunted by losing her family, she's become something of an outlaw Christian warrior in her father's honor. She's also a single mother who's raised twins(from a brief marriage)on her own. They've been raised by their mom to kill vampires and the trio is famous all throughout Mexico. They finally manage to track down Seth, who's surrounded by the trappings of wealth and security, and convince him to join the fight one last time as a new Big Bad has risen in the vampire world, causing a major increase in the vampire population. Seth and Kate have to finally face their feelings, fears, and resentments from that long ago night if they all hope to survive to see another dawn.||
