Was THIS Jane Eyre an influence on Sandy Welch's 2006 version?

Having previously seen Sandy Welsh's 2006 4 part BBC version, and then looking at this movie, I was struck how several scenes in this one were very similar as to its settings, camera angles, actor's action, and voice modulation. For this reason, I couldn't help but wonder whether Sandy Welch wasn't influenced by this one as a source material for inspiration in her own.

Two scenes in particular stand out in my mind: The scene in the Red Room, where the young Jane Eyre sees the Ghost of her Uncle is actually seen lying in his bed: and the scene after the fire in Rochester's bedroom, were Grace Pool is refurbishing the hangings around the bed. Here in the opening shot, the camera angle is almost identical, and so is Grace Pool's position in front of a window. Also, the voice modulation in the interchange between her and Jane Eyre are almost identical too. For me, this seems more than just mere coincidence.

Humph, I don't really compare camera angles or voice modulation, but I picked up similarities like visiting R.'s rooms before he arrives, talking about how to act towards Adèle, Haddon Hall of course, Helen Burns with red hair (combining two Lowood students into one...), Blanche with blond hair. Regarding characters and storyline, because Sandy wrote the script, Susanna White directed it...:-)

I mean, the cinematography in this one IS nice, so maybe Mike Eley was inspired by David Watkin...;-) It's not only the script writer who makes a film...

Am I blind? Where is the dead Mr Reed in this one??? Can't see him. Using red for the red room is surely not copying...;-)
The Grace Poole scene you mentioned...(now I'm not really checking out the scenes, just what I remember...) the scene IS in the book, the camera angles when one is sitting and one is standing sure are limited, but I don't think the action is similar at all - Ruth Wilson can act, Charlotte Gainsbourg cannot (imho). So there I see a world of difference..:-)

Now I will forget this film as quickly as I can, for I abhor it, mostly CG in it!
