Why is the picture of William Hurt not right on the DVD cover?

I have the DVD, and the picture of William Hurt is edited to remove his "mutton chop" sideburns. It makes the cover of the DVD look strange, and it took me a while to figure out what was wrong.

Why would they do that?

uhhh, this is strange.
i checked my DVD since you said that, and it has the same cover as the picture on this site, but the sideburns are there on my DVD!!
So in some dvd covers they photoshop-shaved the sideburns?
