William Hurt in a bar brawl?!

I admit I couldn't watch this movie without some channel surfing, so my opinion that it stunk isn't really defensible.

however seeing William Hurt in a bar brawl was really funny, although unintentionally. i think the director actually thought it was believable! hilarious! i expected him to fall to the floor weeping like a little girl.

the scene with John Travolta laughing at pointless things in the back of the car also was funny, unintentionally. i think the director actually expected us to sympathize with the "angel" instead of seeing a hilariously bad obnoxious performance from travolta, funny how someone could make such bad choices after being handed a miraculous comeback like "Pulp Fiction".

William Hurt was great in this movie. One of the best next to John Travolta.

Not one of the best. THE best. He elevates EVERYTHING he's in.

Yeah? So? Why wasn't William Hurt in a bar fight believable?? Because he mostly plays cerebral, sensitive, intellectual dramatic parts?? The guy's fucking HUGE!! Like 6'3 or 6'4. Ever see Gorky Park? He was VERY physical in that action role. He's a freaking actor. He can play anything. And the stuff Travolta was saying in the back of the car were meant to be pointless to everyone but him. They were inside jokes that only he knew what the point of them were.
