SD and Southwest Blackout

I immediately thought of this movie during the blackout, for obvious reasons. I was curious if anybody else remembered this movie.

While it didn't last nearly as long, and there was plenty of info, and we are far more connected than in 1996 (ie, cell phones), there were some reports of price gouging and unrest at stores that were using calculators for checkout to stay open (only about 4 or 5 hours after the power went out). You could see how in a more suburban environment w/less information, the breakdown would be more noticeable (closer to the movie).
