Why did Tyler let St. Germaine go?

Seemed like it was just used to forward the story. It seemed completely unlike Tyler who was killing people left and right at the slightest inclination throughtout the movie to just be like "Yeah I want you gone but I'm going to let you live."

I kind of agree. But I was glad he didn't kill him. I thought Germaine St. Germaine was pretty cool.

Also, I guess you could argue that he didn't feel like it or didn't want to go out of the way to kill him.

Actually, yesterday after I replied to you I played Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and I went on a rampage and it occurred to me: It's kind of like when you are ruthless playing a game and you don't hold back on the murder since it's only a game and you can do whatever you want. Sometimes when you're running around and shooting people, there will be one or two pedestrians who get a bullet or two thrown in their direction and they either survive or you miss, but there's cops coming and a million other pedestrians around so you don't really pay them much mind and forget as they escape. I kinda figured it was like one of those types of things.
