Am I the only one who found the traffic accident hilarious?

Honestly, I wasn't expecting it. I remember watching this with my mother (who wanted a sweet romance movie) and absolutely dying laughing when Brad Pitt played Pong with the cars. It reminded me of that scene in Pulp Fiction when Vincent accidentally shoots Marvin in the head while chatting with him in the back seat. Random, sick...but utterly hysterical.

We be flyin' like a phat spliff!!

No you are not, I feel so bad because it's a drama but the way in which it was executed was comedic!

It was so hilarious that it's 2015 and I'm STILL laughing about it! 

So freaking hilarious how he got hit once, then another truck came and finished him off! Ha!!

(and it's not sadist to laugh, given the semi-happy ending and all)

I wanted to open a similar thread. 

I wanted to add: could his death be "intentional"? I mean: he crosses the street with red light, he dodges a car, and the other cars don't stop and hit him. Why they didn't stop and sound the horn? Ok, it was red, but that doesn't allow them to invest him! That was murderer! Crazy drivers. 

When my friend and I saw the movie for the first time, we kept rewinding the scene and laughing. Good times ?

Eehhhh I dunno. I've actually seen the same type of accident with my own eyes, when I was fifteen I saw another teenage girl get struck by a car the same way, and I can tell you, it wasn't funny at all, it was shocking and frightening. She landed on her back on the ground and I was the first on the scene and stayed with her until an ambulance came. I never knew whether she survived or wound up in a wheelcahir. She wasn't moving at all even though she was conscious and crying. i've never forgotten seeing her accident.

I was also hit by a car though not as badly struck. It's not all that much fun and laughs. . .

So years later when I saw this scene it didn't make me laugh one bit, no.

I watched this for the first time just now. Crying laughing at the car scene and Joe Black's almost drunk 'newness' to humans.
I know it's a drama, but I spend the good first half giggling.

Apparently not but I found it a bit of a shock when I first saw it. Bodies really do get thrown around like that in traffic accidents - as numerous YouTube clips and GIFs show. I've always wondered how they did it though I guess it's late enough for CGI to have been used.
