not THAT bad of a movie....

ok i have to admit i used my free blockbuster online in store rental coupon on this flick but i was not disappointed. i am a big aviation buff as well as a fan of vampire movies so i thought, "what the hell?" stephen king combined two of my hobbies. if you go into this one expecting something wild like "interview with the vampire" or "salems lot" then you'll be disappointed. if you are looking for a movie that you might find late at night on tv that might make you think or even give you a chill, then this is for you. not a big budget flick but has a decent plot with decent acting. check it out you might like it.

I agree!

I thought it was very good myself. Miguel Ferror was excellent as the ruthlessly amoral tabloid journalist anti-hero, the film explores the fine line between man and monster in a smart, compelling and provocative way, and the incredibly gory conclusion was both genuinely creepy and deliciously ironic.

I thought it was ok. The main actor is a pretty good one and that does a lot for a small film. I couldn't help but feeling let down by this, as I feel with most of King adaptations. They could've done more with it, perhaps with a bigger budget or simply with more competent people. Look at how great 1408 turned out (it is of course a bigger budget and a more interesting short story IMO)

Anyone agree?

It was definitely better than 99% of Stephen King adaptations, and the gore effects weren't too bad either.

in my opinion it is one of the best screen versions on King's books. Here all is good: from casts up to jobs of the director. the decision to change the end was successful. I only think it would be even better, if have developed Dwight Renfield's theme, would a little open his secret...

I thought it was great. The "hell" scene was one of the scariest parts in any movie I've seen, just because it resembles those dreams where you feel like you can't do anything.

i agree! this is a good movie.

Yeah I really like this movie. Miguel Ferrer is awesome as always. Very good actor. Julie Entwisle is also great and very beautiful in this

A 6 from me. It could have been great, because it had potential, but wasn't enough scary or witty or special.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)
